ゲストハウス明洞（Guesthouse Myeongdong）

You get what you pay for. It wasn't the best place, to be honest. But I just needed a place to stay at for 6 hours, so it did the job. My walls had boogers on them, lol. But the sheets were clean so I just made sure not to bump into the walls while sleeping by wrapping myself in the comforter provided. Location was the most convenient thing. It was right outside the exit and the airport bus was just down the street by walking for about 10 seconds. Probably wouldn't stay here again, but like I said, it's a cheap place so don't expect so much luxury from it.

The cleanliness of the room could've been better due to the boogers on the wall, lol, and random dirt in the room. The bathroom could've gone with some scrubbing as well since the glass door and mirror had mildew and hardwater.

The guesthouse does not have elevator. Room have no aircond. U have to climb up to go toilet. Room very small. Hotel very run down.

The location is great, right in front of the subway exit. Individual room as expected and shared facilities(bathroom, kitchen etc). Water available. Wifi in each room is great.

I was expecting a cleaner and nicer atmospehere, the room is a bit old and there are lots of scratches all over the place so it gives off a weird vibe. Kinda like, this place is old and never be refurnished. Staff was fussy when I arrived , i only need to keep my luggage before checking in since the guesthouse stated we could leave out luggage before checking in at 2PM. The staff wasnt in a good mood to be honest, he said there are already a lot of luggages for them to keep (so I thought what was the purpose of mentioning that we can keep our luggage before checking in, if you wouldnt like it you shouldnt mention though). But when I came back at 2PM, he calmed down and was treating me normally(not super friendly or so, he looks a bit tired) for checked-in.

Nearby Myeong Dong station，The door beside mini shop.. airport bus station is about 20 meter far from the guest house. I observes the room is clean but facility is old，anyway it‘s golden location. and reception bro can speak Mandarin 小哥哥中文相当好

Everything. Small, not clean. And impolite staff! The mattress of the bed was horrible I could feel the pain when laying down and on the next day my whole body hurt! And on the top of all this I couldn’t sleep until 3 am everyday bc the neighbors were so loud, you could here every foot step! There is no elevator so I had to carry my luggage alone up to the 3rd Floor! I’m a girl and 19, I am not that strong and the staff didn’t help me at all. When I had to check in the staff even came to late so I had to wait in the cold. Find another place that you can afford or even if it’s more expensive but don’t do this to yourself! I don’t even know why Booking.com has this on their website.

Place very run down. And toilet door cannot be closed completely. WiFi is slow. No lift and you have to climb to 4th and 5th floor with your luggage. Urine stench very annoying every time when you use the staircase. My family member and I experienced skin reddish and itchiness on the last day, could be the bedsheet or towel. We didn't complain since it was last day and all of us couldn't wait to leave that place as soon as possible. There are a lot more options next door and also right in front of the subway station and myeong dong shopping district if your budget isn't that tight. Or try to stay one night, if you can bear with it then continue. Staff are rude and not friendly at all, totally ruins our image towards South Korea. Heating sometimes work and sometimes don't. One of the night, it was freezing and the heater doesn't work. Luckily we have two rooms, one room's water heater isn't properly work, so our family come over to take shower and use the toilet.

The staff was responsive and allow to keep my booking although my credit card invalid when online payment. The location was great! just at Myeongdong subway exit and very accessible to Myeongdong street.

No lift to 5th floor. the room #501 was bad in overall. there were signs of water leak at windows, ceiling and floor. the electric plugs and wires were so terrific! The bed looks not clean and the floor stains.

For the price, excellent location, and clean. Front desk was friendly too.

The hotel is very old. No elevator. Problem with the hot water. The staffs tried their best to help but the hotel is just too old. I would recommend to get a better and comfortable place to stay even if you have to spend a little extra.

All : dirty tiny no more than a train cabin. all have to be repair. localisation very toursitic expensive and bad. for a small price i found better eveywhere.

close to Myeongdong station, that’s all. i didn’t feel comfortable stayed in here

Basically EVERYTHING! The worst accommodation ever in such a big country. The guesthouse is very dirty, smells bad, we can feel the air circulation is not good, they even don’t changes the bed sheets, i can found spots in the bed sheet, toilet doesn’t flush, no warm water, the staff mainly don’t stand by at the reception desk at their office hours and they could not solve costumer claim professionally. I can’t believe they charged me 10,128¥ for 3 nights (3,376¥ per night), we could find way much better guesthouse in Tokyo with this price. this place doesn’t worth review score 6.5 from booking, why booking even recommended this place?
